My name is Michael Goins. I am the creator of My Wonderful Walls and many of the stencil kits and canvas artwork you’ll find here. I am a graphic artist and industrial designer based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

I typically have a half dozen new product ideas floating around in my head. In 2007, however, I came up with one that my wife actually liked! I had just finished hand-painting a mural in our older son’s room. I knew that other parents would really enjoy doing this, but most lack the artistic training and confidence…. thus my mural stencil kit idea was born! We love the fact that our product is truly one-of-a-kind and make it possible for any parent—even the most artistically challenged—to create a dream space for their child.

We are still a very small company and pride ourselves on the great relationship we have with our customers. If you call, you will most likely get me or my wife Stephanie. Due to increased demand, we probably need to hire someone to answer customer questions, but the truth of the matter is that we don’t want to.

We love talking to you and hearing from you and get such a kick out of the fact that our designs have found a place in your home. We want to help you create the perfect space for your child and will work with you on how to achieve that. Know that when you order a product from us, it has been thoughtfully designed by us, carefully hand-made by us, packed with affection, and delivered to you with our personal seal of approval!

Starting our own business has not been without its challenges, but the positive feedback we get from our customers makes it all worth it. We receive email after email from satisfied people who want to thank us, share their experience, and pass along pictures of their newly painted masterpiece.

My Wonderful Walls is growing so quickly that we’ve brought in some amazingly talented artists to help us to keep up with the demand for new designs.

David W. Goins is a sculptor and artist. He grew up in Abita Springs, Louisiana and attended Memphis College of Art. He spends most of his time doing mixed-media sculpture. He is inspired by nature and draws from the imagination of his youth. He is excited to be able to help parents give their children a first glimpse of art through his walls designs. David’s drew the imaginative designs for our Outrageous Space and coming soon Wizards and Dragons Stencil Kits.

 

 

 

 

Laura González is a Mexican illustrator who has found her way in children’s illustration, something she thoroughly enjoys doing. She has worked in different kinds of projects, such as magazines, educational books, didactic games, embroidery designs, and children’s poetry books, among others, for clients from Mexico, USA, Spain and Ecuador. She likes working with digital and traditional media. Her wonderful artwork can be seen in many of our stencil kits including Under the Sea, Bugs & Blossoms, and coming soon Cats & Dogs Delight.

 

 

 

 

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Sheena Benavente is a Graphic Designer currently residing in Chattanooga. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A multi-talented artist, Sheena has experience with pottery, painting, and drawing, yet also dabbles in jewelry design. Here at My Wonderful Walls, she helps us bring our designs to life on our web page for our customers.
