When Dorey from Southern Comfurt in Louisiana was looking for a little help in decorating her pet care business playroom, she asked her friends on Facebook. This business owner says, “Not to pat myself on the back, but I am excellent when it comes to pet care and creating a fun, safe environment. But interior decorating is where I needed the help.” Luckily for her a friend spotted our Paws Park Wall Stickers and showed them to Dorey!
As the owner of a pet sitting and boarding business it was important to Dorey to make the owners feel just as comfortable leaving their pets in her care as it is for her to have their pets feel comfortable being there. According to Dorey, pet owners feel more comfortable with an environment that looks inviting and fun. She had gotten some good ideas from Pinterest but wall stickers were really the thing she needed to tie it all together. She was then able to plan the look of her doggie playroom.
Dorey said she chose stickers because she felt she needed the ease of peel and stick. This busy business owner and mom said she has some vinyl wall stickers she bought elsewhere in her living room but the My Wonderful Walls wall stickers were much better and the quality of the stickers made them look painted on. She was worried at first there wouldn’t be enough stickers in the kit to decorate the whole room but once she got going, she found she was wrong. The different size stickers also allowed her to add some depth to the room. It took her 2 days to paint and then about ten minutes to hang up the stickers. She enjoyed how easy it was to decorate with wall decals. Dorey’s six year old daughter helped a little with the painting and quickly began naming the animal stickers after client’s pets they reminded her of. Dorey’s advice to anyone starting a mural with our wall stickers- leave the edges up in case you want to move the decal. Then when you have everything where you want it, go through and make sure you have them all pressed down well.
One of the things that impressed Dorey about My Wonderful Walls was the responsive customer service she received when she ordered the wall stencils instead of the Paws Park Stickers by mistake. She was pleased that her order was promptly canceled and she was able to order the stickers in time to get them up for the New Year. And Dorey knows about good service judging by the 2013 Best of Denham Springs Award she won in the Pet Sitter Category.
The dogs seem to like the new play area. Pictured above is the family's foster dog Wynona who is looking for her forever home and below is their adopted lab Sadie.
