Moms and dads all over the world ask themselves the same questions when they find out they’re expecting – how are we going to decorate the nursery? With many options to choose from like wall decals, wall stencils and wallpaper it can be hard to decide. For those who want a DIY wall mural, fabric wall decals are a perfect solution. Recently, Shawnt'e from Clinton, MD shared her experiences using our Night Owl Wall Sticker Kit for her baby girl, Khyle. Mom is a police clerk and entrepreneur with a passion for art who was looking for an easy way to create a wall mural herself while dealing with morning sickness during the pregnancy. Here’s what she had to say:

MWW: How did you find out about My Wonderful Walls?
Shawnt’e: I found your site by browsing the web. Originally I'd wanted to paint a mural since I'm an artist myself. That idea changed once we found out that we were expecting.
MWW: For whom is the mural intended?
Shawnt’e: The mural is for my daughter Khyle Cienna . We call her KC.
MWW: Tell us a little bit about why you chose this theme.
Shawnt’e: I choose this theme because I think it's important for her to have a great room long after the nursery stage. We wanted something that she could grow with as she gets older. I love the colors as well as they work great with the color scheme for her canopy crib.
MWW: Why did you choose wall stickers over wall stencils?
Shawnt’e: I chose the stickers over the stencils because it was important to me that I decorate Khyle's nursery myself. I wanted to keep the mural effect but I couldn't fathom the painting with my morning sickness during my pregnancy. So I decorated while her father, Michael did the labor work with her nursery furniture.
MWW: Describe your artistic comfort level?
Shawnt’e: I've always had a passion for art. I majored in Media Arts & Animation in college and I draw, sculpt, paint, and model in 3D.
MWW: What did you enjoy about the wall mural creation experience? Was it what you had expected?
Shawnt’e: It was better than my expectations. The quality of the stickers is really amazing. They're thick and durable for repositioning. They're really easy to use and they look amazing.
MWW: Do you have a favorite piece or favorite scene you created?
Shawnt’e: I love the personalized name plate. I placed an owl perched on top. It's my favorite touch to her room.
MWW: Tell us a little about your experience with the product and with the My Wonderful Walls folks in general.
